Особливістю конструкції спірально-планчастих прикочувальних катків «Mixer-Till» є кут атаки до поверхні поля та гвинтова лінія робочої планки.
Активний кут атаки — під час роботи планка катка входить у ґрунт під кутом до осі катка, а виходить майже горизонтально. Завдяки цьому вона підрізає частину ґрунту, зрізаючи бур’яни, пожнивні залишки та гребені, залишаючи після себе рівну й очищену поверхню поля.
Пасивний кут атаки — при роботі по пухкому ґрунту, наприклад після оранки, катки «Mixer-Till» розвертаються на 180°. У цьому положенні робоча планка лягає плазом і виходить майже вертикально, що збільшує опорну площу катка. У результаті зменшується захоплення землі і каток менше забивається.
